Intro to 2D Game Design (4th-8th Grade)

 

Do you like to play games? How would you like to learn to create your own game instead of playing them? This course teaches students how to create their own role-playing game. Students will learn basic character design, level design, game planning, collision detection, environment background, and sound.

 

Intro to Java Programming (5th-8th Grade)

Every Friday                                               Feb. 1st- Mar. 29th, 2019                                   4:00p.m.-6:00p.m.

 

Java is a programming language being used everyday. We used Java applications on web-site, games, super data center, and cell phone to internet. This course will focus on basic Java Programming and foundation of programming. Learning programming can be fun and enhancing game experiences. No prior programming experiences is necessary.

Intro Kids to Computer Animation

This course is intended to introduce art, drawing, and animation concepts to students. This is important for kids growing up in a digital age. With the use of “Friendly Technology”,  students engage the right and left sides of their brain, improve Common Core competency, develop collaboration skills and foster communication. By the end of this class, students will have a finished an animated creation to share with family and friends!

 

Digital Arts with Photoshop

By taking our Digital Arts with Photoshop Program, we hope students can become creators of digital content. Students will be learning Geometric Concepts (math), Impressionistic Art, (visual arts), and Alliteration Poem (language arts). At the same time, students will be learning new Photoshop tools and techniques. Students will continue to improve their Photoshop skills while learning new Math and Science, Language Arts, and Visual Arts projects throughout the series.  (4 months program)

 

Modding Minecraft with Java Coding

Why Minecraft game still popular for many years after its initial release? Minecraft allows player to alter the way the game looks and behaves. In this class, student will learn to mod Minecraft using Java Coding. Students will learn to create custom item, custom block, custom textures, and ability to launch any entity such as creeper in the air.  Intermediate Level

Digital Arts for Autistic Kids (4th-8th Grade) - 12 weeks
Every Tuesday                                               Feb. 5th - April 23rd, 2019                                   4:00p.m.-5.30p.m.

By taking our Digital Arts with GIMP Program, we hope students can become creators of digital content. Students will be learning Geometric Concepts (math), Impressionistic Art, (visual arts), Alliteration Poem (language arts), and visual communication with colors . At the same time, students will be learning new digital paint tools and techniques.

Tuition: $280

REQUIREMENT: a parent must be with  your child in class.

2D Game Design for Autistic Kids (4th-8th Grade) - 12 weeks
Every Wednesday                                        Feb. 6th-April 24th, 2019                                      4:30p.m.-6.00p.m.

 This course focus on fine motor skills, improve kinesthetic learning & hand/eye coordination.  Students will be learning  how to create their own role-playing game.  Students will explore basic character design, level design, game planning, collision detection, environment background, and sound.

Tuition: $280

Game Design with Minecraft for Autistic Kids (3rd-6th Grade) - 12 weeks

Every Thursday                                               Feb. 7th - April 25th, 2019                                   4:00p.m.-5.30p.m.

Minecraft is a sandbox game where players can create and build, fight off enemies and explore vast landscapes. Our goal is to teach autistic students Minecraft as a learning tool. Autistic students will have projects to work on in a sensory-friendly space. We will also create a "calm room" for any Autistic students with anxiety while learning. We also allowing autistic students an opportunity to use their creative expression in Minecraft.

Tuition: $280
